- Sports Med MD

Medicine demands too much of you.

Another clinic day ends. You've worked at break-neck speed, made thousands of clinical decisions, skipped lunch, ignored a bursting bladder...
...and you're still not done.

Now you're back at home. The kids are in bed. Dinner went cold.
And you're sitting in your pajamas, finishing the notes and messages you didn't have time for during the day.

Every Physician Wants to Be More Efficient...

But the truth is, most attempts at "efficiency" turn into:

  • A new, bloated, "better" note template

  • Staying up later and/or getting up earlier

  • Buying a new tool like voice recognition or AI scribes

  • Or a habit that’s impossible to stay consistent with

None of it has worked—at least not for long.

And that only leads to you...

⬇️

Ending the day a big ol' pile of work...again

It wasn't supposed to be like this.

It's deflating.

"Maybe this is just how medicine is..."

Thinking you're stuck and there's no way out.

It's frustrating.

"Maybe the problem is...
me?"

Perceiving your struggles as personal deficiencies.

It's devastating.

Truth is, these are NOT a you problem.

They are the expected result when you apply output solutions to an input problem.

Some of the physicians who've gone through this training had tried everything.

They stopped believing it was fixable.

They showed up anyway.

That was enough.

Here's Why Most Solutions to Help Physicians Finish at Work Fail

Most physicians approach work thinking they need to...

  • "try harder"

  • "get better at time management"

  • "buy a new shiny stool"

  • "stop being lazy"

When the real issue is:

You're practicing in a system that quietly expects you to donate your evenings to documentation, inbox messages, and admin work that never ends.

That's free work they're getting out of you, and they will ride this gravy train as long as they can (at your expense).

And it needs to stop.

Because it's not just wrong, it's expensive.

It costs you not only money, but also your energy, presence at home, patience, sleep, and the part of you that used to feel like a real human.

The Good News?

You Can Choose a Different Path

That's Where the Leave Your Work at Work Series Comes In

In Just 3 Short Sessions, You'll Discover:

✔️ Why "working harder" and "better templates" haven't fixed this—and what actually will

✔️ The permission you've never given yourself—and why it changes everything

✔️ A hidden EHR trap that's sabotaging your documentation time that nobody talks about

✔️ The most expensive decision you make every day on repeat (without realizing it)

✔️ Why tactics haven't stuck—and the mindset shift that makes them stick

✔️ The complete roadmap from pajama charting to leaving on time with your work done

This Works Because it Focuses Upstream on the Input (aka Root) Causes, Not Doing More Work

Plus it's:

  • Adaptable to all specialties, work situations, and EHRs
  • Implementable immediately -- same day!
  • Designed for busy clinic schedules...even when sh*t hits the fan
  • Created by a physician informaticist still on the front lines

The Charting Trap That Disguises Itself as 'Caring'

The paradigm shift that has to land before any tactic sticks. Skip it and you're still charting at 9pm with a better template.

Why Your Day Collapses at 10:05am and What Happens When You Say “I'll Finish Later”

The collapse runs the same sequence every time. Once you can see it, you can interrupt it. Plus: what counts as “enough.”

HOSTED BY DR. JUNAID NIAZI

No one taught us how to chart efficiently using practical systems that respect clinical judgment and real-world constraints——hold my... lukewarm coffee.

Here's What Others Are Saying

"I’ve put your guidance to work as soon as I went to work (eagerly) the next day. So far only 1 day I had to chart <1 hour at home since!!! Changing my mindset did it for me."

- Pediatric NP

"I got all my notes done this week for the first time in forever, and it felt AMAZING! You helped!"

- Dermatologist

“Your tips were amazing. I have been completing my charting before I move onto my next patient and I now have no more stacks of notes on my desk and my work is done at the end of the day. :)”

- Anonymous Physician

"Within two days [of the training] I had 100% real time chart closure. I no longer ever chart at home and it’s been 2.5 months. It’s freaking amaze-balls! I’m even adding more patients to my schedule!"

- Pediatrician

"Your free training was just the inspiration I needed to make changes in how I prioritize my work-flow and I am definitely already doing much better getting things wrapped up before I leave work. So, a big THANK YOU!

👋🏽 Hi, I'm Dr. Junaid Niazi

I still see patients. That's the part that matters here.

In clinic three days, seeing 40-45 patients a week, panel size ~1200, Epic EHR—and I leave with all my work done within 30 minutes of my last patient, almost 100% of the time.

That wasn't always true. In my early months as a Med-Peds primary care physician, I charted every night at home...after leaving work late. Back then I told myself two things: this is just how medicine is, and something must be wrong with me.

Then I realized that if I didn't fix it before starting a family, I never would. So I built the system, one piece at a time.

Along the way I also became an IS medical director, which means I've seen the EHR from the inside. It doesn't mean I stopped having to use it the way you do.

I'm not here to tell you to care less. I'm here to help you stop paying for caring with your nights.

Thank you so much for your free training. I think it will help doctors stay in medicine and prevent burn out.

It put things in perspective for me…to give myself more free time to spend time with family. Thank you.”

- Anonymous Physician

The part nobody warns you about

Most physicians who end up here have quietly concluded the problem is theirs alone—i.e., a personal failingin a profession where everybody else appears to be coping.

Here are three of them working that out in the chat, in real time, during the last run of this series.

VIVIAN S.
a 20 year habit of overcharting will be tough to change?

BRYAN R.
yeah, Vivian, but what’s the alternative? :(

VIVIAN S.
I’m totally on board. It’s just that I’m deluding myself that I can change it overnight LOL

LARA C.
I am with you guys, Vivian and Bryan. But I have to change it!!

And, from the same session:

“I’m glad I’m not the only one who cannot keep up with both closing notes and keeping up with my in basket during a work day.”
